Family Doctor Week 6-16 July
West Lakes Shopping Centre 6-8 July & Arndale Shopping Centre 14-16 July
The AWGPN's annual fun community event “FAMILY DOCTOR WEEK” is on again! To be held in the above western region shopping centres with many local Doctors, practice nurses and practice staff participating to connect with the community in a friendly and relaxed manner to help celebrate and raise awareness of the many different reasons we see our local GP. We will be providing health checks in the form of blood Pressure tests, waist circumference measurement indicators and Piko test (early detection of lung disease) together with a variety of Health brochures and information on many medical conditions.If you would like to be involved in this event, please contact Rita Sullivan, Corporate Administration at AWGPN rita.sullivan@awgpn.org.au or phone 8244 3822. Closing the Gap Aboriginal Health Project
The aim of this new program is to contribute to 'closing the gap' in life expectancy by improving access to culturally sensitive primary care services for all Aboriginal Australians. There are FOUR types of GP payments available through the PIP Aboriginal Health Incentive plus AWGPN OFFERS FREE CAT TOOL INSTALLATION. For more information please see our Closing the Gap page.

AWGPN Welcomes Associate Members
The AWGPN would like to extend an invitation to other health professionals to become Associate Members of the Adelaide Western General Practice Network. The AWGPN Board believes that Associate Membership will better facilitate interaction between GP members and other GP practice team members and primary care providers in the Western region of Adelaide. It will also foster innovation and integration in Primary Health Care Services resulting in improved population health outcomes.
